Responsibilities PRIMARY PURPOSE Provides functional support and advisory services for BCRTC users of the Inventory systems as the Procurement services lead. Liaises with various internal stakeholders to maintain the integrity of inventory data and transactions, including standard repair costing. Supports the development, testing and implementation of system upgrades and of process efficiencies related to Inventory. Key Accountabilities Leads development of system changes and system enhancement requirements for the Inventory team by leading the development system changes. Reviews business processes and system workflows. Identifies, develops and implements recommendations for improvements towards efficient and accurate inventory processing. Conducts in-depth analysis and provides recommendations for senior management decision making. Liaises with system users to conduct reporting requirements analyses for standard and customized reports, queries, or data access. Provides technical expertise to prepare, develop, produce, and support various inventory reports necessary for management decision making throughout the enterprise. Ensuring the inventory transactions and balances in the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM) are accurate and in alignment with the records in the FSM system. Troubleshoots and resolves issues in a timely manner. Provides leadership to compare daily inventory outputs to resolve discrepant inventory transactions, in a timely manner to ensure a robust and reliable system. Serves as the subject matter expert for the company’s Inventory in EAM and collaborates with Finance to support alignment in the company’s financial system and any required integration with other modules within the company’s Inventory systems. Identifies opportunities to streamline and improve the inventory system or related processes. Conducts user acceptance testing and integration testing for implementations, upgrades and enhancements as a key user resource including developing and executing test scenarios, providing analysis and thereby making recommendations. Develops business and system process documentation and training materials and facilitates training for users. Maintains documentation of Inventory modules, processes, and any configuration changes for the company’s Inventory system in accordance with company standards. Reviews on an ongoing basis all standard repair costs in the asset management system. Obtains all the required cost elements from maintenance to produce a standard repair cost model for the Asset Management System. Collaborates with Finance to obtain approval of standard repair costs. Reviews inputs for accuracy and performs required updates in the asset management system. Provides direction and guidance to lower-level staff within the department as required. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The requirements of the role can be acquired through completion of a Diploma designation in Business or Finance System discipline with courses in information systems, plus five (5) years of progressive experience in a large organization with Asset management and Enterprise resource systems, with a focus on Inventory related management. Other Requirements Strong analytical skills when developing and recommending business improvements and change initiatives. Solid analytical skills to develop, monitor and track Inventory and related costing elements in the asset management and Financial management systems. Solid interpersonal skills and business relationship management to interact & advise users of the inventory control system across BCRTC and to gather information with regards to creating functional design specifications for system processes. Solid time management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail, proactive ability to work on their own. Experienced in systems testing and implementation of system upgrades. Solid MS Office working knowledge including solid Excel skills and PowerPoint skills. Strong written skills to be able to develop business and system process documentation and strong verbal communication skills for working with user groups to identify requirements to create functional design specifications. This position works predominately on-site. Rate of Pay The salary for this position ranges from $77,520 - $116,280 per annum. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.
