Finance Director We are looking for a high-performing finance leader to lead our Finance team, and be an integral member of our team that brings together the businesses sales, finance and technology needs. You will be responsible for optimizing our financial operations, supporting sales on a number of matters, and accelerating our deployment of technology to accelerate our business growth. You will ultimately be responsible for the presentation of financial matters to our C-Suite and parent company, EmeraldX. This individual serves as the primary financial liaison between Generis and EmeraldX, in conjunction with the CFO. This individual has a major role in stakeholder engagement, as they will participate in regular financial review meetings with EmeraldX finance executives, and collaborate with them daily to ensure a seamless integration of the Generis business with EmeraldX. It is crucial that this individual communicates financial risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership at both local and group levels. Working hours: Normal business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, with a one-hour lunch break between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Occasional extended hours required for live events and travel. Working Environment : First six weeks will be 100% in office. Work-from-home flexibility up to 7 days each month following the initial six week period. Responsibilities Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to the parent company, adhering to group reporting timelines and formats.Coordinate consolidation of local financials into group-level reporting packages. Prepare variance analyses and commentary for parent company review, highlighting key drivers and risks. Support parent company audits and respond to inquiries from group finance and external auditors. Ensure that the Company’s tax filings remain compliant. Strategic Planning & Budgeting (20%) Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Present financial plans and performance updates to both local leadership and parent company stakeholders. Collaborate with EmeraldX finance teams on planning, scenario modeling and variance analysis. Finance Technology (20%) Work with CFO and IT department on continuously enhancing the IT infrastructure of the Company, allowing the company to leverage efficiencies to eliminate manual processes where possible. Oversee integration of financial systems and reporting tools with parent company platforms. Continue to enhance the utilization of Datarails as the system of record for capturing data and formalizing month-end processes at Generis Lead the implementations of Concur and Rippling for Generis, scheduled for 2026 Drive automation and standardization of reporting processes to meet group requirements. Support implementation of group-wide financial initiatives and reporting enhancements. Implement automation tools to automate revenue recognition and commission accounting. Payroll & Accounts Payable (15%) Oversee all aspects of Generis payroll globally, for North America and Europe. Train the Finance team to handle the majority of payroll preparation. Design, analyze and implement any new commissions/bonus/compensation schemes required. Lead the migration from ADP to Rippling for Generis in 2026. Lead the migration for Generis to Concur in 2026. Review systems used for payroll, and advise on any enhancements. Accounts Receivable: (10%) Oversee Accounts Receivable process. Work with the CRO and the team to resolve troubled deals. Review requests for amendments to contracts by Sponsor clients, and ensure that any amendments are made only within company guidelines. Develop strategies to negotiate payment arrangement terms with customers to meet Company collection objectives Manage the invoicing process, working to increase the automation & efficiency Operations Finance (10%) Review major procurement contracts to ensure favorable commercial terms, and comparative analysis relative to previous contracts. Step in to negotiate with vendors when required in coordination with Operations. Work with Operations, Marketing, Production, Recruitment and IT to prepare, review and manage Event and departmental budgets. Compliance & Controls (5%) Develop the SOX-compliant internal control framework. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with both local regulations and global company policies. Implement and monitor financial governance frameworks as required by the parent organization. Ensure adherence to intercompany transaction policies and transfer pricing guidelines.
