Distribution Centre Team Leader Location: DECIEM Caterpillar DC-1510 Caterpillar Road, Mississauga L4X 2Y1 Hourly rate: $23 to $35 an hour Responsibilities Report and monitor daily activities of warehouse operations, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service. Participate in weekly team meetings with DC Management team and other Team Leaders. Assist with the supervision of Warehouse Associates, including training, helping to meet deadlines, and assisting to lead the team while maintaining professional relationships. Accurately prepare and correct production of labels and documents for shipping orders. Ensure warehouse and all product and inventory settings are compliant and act upon instructions given by Managers. Assist in maintaining and updating all spreadsheets, Personal Protection Equipment supplies, and accessories provided within department areas. Work to consistently improve DC processes, including activities through ERP systems. Collaborate with Managers to solve work related problems. Closely monitor and report potential hazards and any issues to Managers. Assist warehouse team to meet fulfillment center demands, leading flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime. Qualifications Proven problem solver, solutions‑oriented with a self‑starter mindset. Strong leadership skills to coach and mentor employees. Comfortable lifting and moving various items and standing for prolonged periods of time. 1‑2 years of experience in a similar role working in a DC. Relevant education or equivalent work experience in a DC (asset).
