Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and analyticalBusiness Intelligence (BI) Consultant with healthcare industry expertise to design, develop, and support data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, clinical outcomes, and business performance. The ideal candidate will work closely with healthcare stakeholders, clinical teams, operations, and leadership to transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions. The role requires strong experience in healthcare data systems, reporting tools, and regulatory reporting standards. ResponsibilitiesBusiness Intelligence & AnalyticsDesign, develop, and maintain BI dashboards, scorecards, and operational reports. Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities. Develop KPIs and metrics for clinical, operational, and financial reporting. Translate business requirements into scalable BI and analytics solutions. Support data-driven decision-making across healthcare operations. Data Management & ReportingExtract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple healthcare systems and databases. Build and optimize SQL queries, data models, and reporting datasets. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports and dashboards. Develop automated reporting processes and data validation procedures. Support ad-hoc reporting requests from business and clinical teams. Work with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, OSCAR, PS Suite, Accuro, or equivalent. Analyze clinical, patient, operational, and financial healthcare data. Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy and security regulations (HIPAA/PHIPA/PIPEDA). Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements. Stakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with clinical leadership, finance, operations, and IT teams to gather reporting requirements. Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders and executive leadership. Conduct training sessions and provide user support for BI tools and dashboards. Participate in data governance and analytics strategy initiatives. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Healthcare Informatics, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Reporting roles. Experience working in the healthcare industry or healthcare technology environment. Strong proficiency in: SQL Excel and data analysis tools ETL processes and data integration Experience with healthcare databases and reporting structures. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred QualificationsExperience with healthcare EMR/EHR platforms. Knowledge of healthcare data standards and reporting frameworks. Experience with: SSIS / SSRS / SSAS Snowflake / Redshift / BigQuery Python or R for analytics Familiarity with healthcare KPIs, billing, claims, and patient outcome reporting. Certification in Power BI, Tableau, Azure, or healthcare analytics is an asset.
