You will leverage the strength of the BMO platform, work closely with internal partners, and develop long‑term, trusted client relationships through exceptional advice and service.To be successfulBuild, manage, and grow a portfolio of multi‑generational client relationships delivering bespoke investment advice and wealth management strategies.Deliver an exceptional client experience by understanding client goals, educating on investment strategies and risks, and setting clear performance expectations.Develop and execute a business plan focused on growth, client retention, and deepening relationships.Construct and manage portfolios using professional judgment, sound portfolio construction principles, and disciplined investment processes.Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders, and develop business with clients and prospects using proactive selling and marketing techniques.Respond to, and resolve, complex client inquiries and escalations.Collaborate with BMO partners across Private Banking, Commercial Banking, Insurance, Wealth Planning, and other specialists to deliver a one‑team client experience, and ensure clients are supported across all facets of their financial wellbeing.Actively develop new business through networking, referrals, community engagement, and proactive marketing efforts.Ensure all activities meet regulatory requirements and internal risk management standards.Support branch or team business objectives by identifying opportunities that optimize profitability, increase share of wallet, and improve client loyalty.What You Bring5–10 years of relevant experience in investment advisory, wealth management, or a related field, and sales experience.Registration as a Registered Representative (RR) and completion of CIRO Continuing Education requirements.Strong business development mindset and a self‑starter mentality, with the ability to build trusted, long‑term relationships.A passion for helping others, making connections, financial planning, and portfolio management.Proven analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.A client‑first philosophy and commitment to operational excellence.Professional financial planning designation (PFP) or progress toward advanced credentials (e.g., CFP, CIM, CFA) is an asset.What BMO OffersAutonomy to build your practice with the strength and reputation of the BMO Nesbitt Burns brand.Leaders in market and in national office who are partners in your success.Access to comprehensive wealth management resources, investment solutions, and internal partners.A supportive, inclusive, and collaborative culture that values excellence, growth, and professional development.This is a 100% commission‑based role with the possibility for a temporary base salary.This is a planned recruitment for future vacancies.Salary CommissionThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
