Job DescriptionReporting to the Director of Data Governance & Data Enablement, the Senior Analyst – Data Governance will develop, implement and operationalize the data governance program, including managing the data governance council and ensuring the data quality and critical data element frameworks are adopted across Canadian business units. ResponsibilitiesExecute enterprise data governance policies, standards and best practices across Canadian business units and ensure consistent implementation of data policies. Oversee the Regional Canadian Data Governance Council. Support execution of the enterprise Data Quality Management Framework, including design, enhancement and validation of data quality rules and controls over critical data elements. Partner with data engineering and BI teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive data governance dashboard and data quality reporting program that tracks quality score and progress. Work closely with enterprise data governance, senior management, business and technology stakeholders to support data management initiatives, including capturing roles & responsibilities, metadata and reporting on data quality issues. Provide guidance to business lines on internal risk and compliance policies related to information management. Act as a data governance expert with internal teams and external partners such as regulators to promote secure, effective and collaborative data governance. QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data governance, ideally within insurance, wealth management or other financial services. Experience in program development and using data governance tools and platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, Collibra or similar. Working knowledge of data management concepts, processes and tools (e.g., Collibra, JIRA, Confluence) and familiarity with SQL and cloud platforms. Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship‑management skills, with ability to prepare materials, brief senior leaders and drive collaboration across diverse teams. Experience with Tableau and other BI reporting tools is an asset. University degree in business, engineering, computer science or related discipline. Reliability security clearance required.
