Supervises, directs, coaches, trains and mentors the project team, including direct and indirect reports. Effectively communicates with own forces and trades, ensuring performance, productivity, quality and safety requirements are met. Collaborates with construction/project manager and project team; proactively manages potential problems, work interferences and schedule conflicts/setbacks. Coordinates with field coordinators, estimators, consultants and trade partners to ensure construction activities comply with drawings, specifications and constructability requirements. Liaises with clients, other site contractors, unions and labor relations, and site and office representatives. Visualizes the full project lifecycle, develops and maintains detailed construction schedules, identifies critical paths and anticipates constructability and sequencing challenges. Develops and implements Project Execution Plan (PEP) and resource‑loaded three‑week lookahead schedules. Creates, maintains and executes the project plan and schedule, ensuring compliance with budget and quality. Reviews and understands the contract and subcontracts, developing a plan that mitigates risks and maximizes opportunities to meet financial targets. Maintains project administration correspondence and complies with documentation requirements. Develops and maintains strong customer‑focused relationships with all stakeholders. Qualifications Journeyman certificate or undergraduate/engineering degree in a related discipline; enrollment in the Gold Seal program preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive field‑supervision experience on medium‑to‑large, complex construction projects. Demonstrated experience supervising and leading construction workforces in complex site environments, including own forces and trade contractors. In‑depth knowledge of construction industry practices, building materials, specifications and methods. Understanding of project scope and ability to apply intermediate‑complex engineering principles. Proficient with scheduling software and understanding of construction scheduling logic. Ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project with three‑week lookahead schedules. Understanding of productivity rates, labor cost reports and ability to interpret cost reports. Thorough understanding of contract language, risk mitigation and opportunity leveraging. In‑depth knowledge and application of safety and environmental principles, procedures and legislation. Ability to lead and run effective site meetings with the client, consultants, trades, own forces and internal employees; presenting at client meetings as needed. Demonstrated conflict‑resolution skills, problem‑solving abilities and professional judgment. Ability to develop and maintain effective, customer‑focused relationships in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
