Through this partnership, we are seeking a Project Information Manager to join Hatch’s Project Delivery Group (PDG)—a dynamic and globally integrated team delivering world‑class projects. About the role Project Information Managers (PIM) are responsible for the strategies and processes that support the planning, production, and delivery of information for the project’s entire lifecycle. The PIM develops the digital execution strategy, the information production and delivery processes and workflows to ensure all functional information is produced, integrated, and consolidated into an Information Model that satisfies the project’s information requirements. The PIM understands and coordinates the requirements for digital delivery and provides specialist advice to create value for stakeholders, while applying a continuous improvement culture to all digital delivery initiatives. The PIM maintains overall responsibility for the design modelling process and model information exchange. PIMs manage the Information Management discipline on a project, ensuring all Project Delivery Systems are set up and operating to support the IM processes and workflows. The Information Manager is the primary liaison between the Project Team, the Project Delivery Systems teams (including IT) and any external parties whose information is exchanged with Hatch. Key Responsibilities During pursuits, develop digital strategies and pre‑award Information Management Plans (IMPs) and/or BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), contribute to pursuit documentation and cost estimate for the Information Management discipline, and ensure the pursuit has adequately priced information management requirements, resources, and risk in accordance with Hatch’s digital cost recovery model. Develop and implement post‑award Information Management Plans and/or BIM Execution Plans, procedures, and workflows to support information production and delivery processes. Establish Information Standards and Information Management quality processes necessary to ensure compliance, including:Model Management Standards (i.e. federation, clash detection & issue resolution) CAD Management Standards (i.e. title blocks) Data Management Standards (i.e. data validation, asset tagging) Document Management Standards (i.e. templates) Develop the federation strategy and establish and maintain the Information Container Breakdown Structure, including all individual Information Container Registers (Drawing Register, Model Breakdown Structure, Document List, Data Lists). Ensure Information Model federation is tested and maintained according to the IMP. Develop an Information Management risk management strategy to identify & address risks to the engagement’s outcomes resulting from Information Management processes, digital delivery systems, data or IT infrastructure. Determine training/onboarding requirements and develop & implement a training plan to ensure all members of the Project Team are sufficiently trained in the project specific IMP/BEP. Assess the information management and digital execution capabilities of supplier and sub‑consultants. Communicate and promote the Information Management strategy to the project. Drive compliance with Hatch’s Minimum Digital Standards and Information Management procedures and standards. Ensure utilisation of federated project information models for safety in design and technical reviews, stakeholder and client engagement, design and interface issue tracking & resolution and milestone reporting. Be responsible for all information exchange between Hatch’s common data environment and external parties. Be accountable for the set‑up, implementation and administration of the Project Delivery Systems and IT infrastructure to support project and/or construction site activities. Facilitate timely and effective communication between functions, disciplines and vendors in support of vendor data attribute and document collection. Efficiently manage Information Management services including allocation and management of document and tag numbering, auditable transactions for document control and data management within digital delivery systems. Effectively lead and manage across functions and disciplines to maximize collaboration, efficiency, productivity, and consistency in digital execution. Qualifications Tertiary degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Minimum 10 years cumulative engineering experience with 5 years of experience in Information Management including BIM Management. Experience with data‑centric BIM execution in EPCM or Design‑Build. Experience managing information management discipline functions: data management, document management, model management and drawing management. Experience writing Information Management documentation including BIM Execution Plans, procedures, specifications, and work instructions. Experience managing Information Management teams, including estimates and plans. Knowledge of the fundamentals of project execution, including project controls, EPCM processes, contracting, engineering, construction management, and awareness of project information models & data handover concepts as they relate to meeting client requirements. Excellent understanding of 3D intelligent modelling. Good understanding of 4D simulation and advanced work packaging. Good understanding of 5D quantity estimation and trending. Good understanding of 6D/7D facility management. Ability to work with different groups (internal and external) to build consensus. Base salary $86,000 - $130,000 Why join Hatch?
