Overview Senior Software Developer for the Digital Banking IT group at RBC Caribbean. Responsible for designing and developing internet banking, mobile banking, and origination applications, and extending APIs in the Caribbean Digital Channel portfolio. Operates within an Agile product team, managing software development, providing technical direction, and ensuring modernization of technology solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign and code application programs; performing testing for developed applicationsReview, analyze and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large‑scale systemEnsure the operating efficiency of existing application systems and maintain records for the documentation of systems development and revisionsConduct analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systemsDevelopment and design of API services applications and ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testingContribute towards the creation of intuitive, robust, and reusable user interfaces using modern API frameworks. Optimize applications for maximum usability and functionWork within an Agile product team composed of technical, product and business team members to deliver exceptional productsEnsure requirements are understood, gaps identified and project deliverables met and alignment of coding and solutions to overall RBC guidelinesDevelop feasibility studies and proposals for senior management and executive decisions on large complex projects.
