Position Summary Assists in the leadership of the backroom and unloading department processes, responds to problems and inquiries, and develops associates through teaching and training. Ensures a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion. Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the sales floor as required. What You’ll Do Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate. Assists in providing direction and the coordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Stocking 1 and 2 Coach and the Store Management Team. Assesses the overall presentation of backroom and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes or stocking where required. Ensures strong communication with associates and management with the planning meeting, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift, and provides the team with updates, sets goals, and tracks productivity. Ensures all high‑ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completes daily audits as per program. Reviews completed schedules with People Lead. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates, validates and identifies training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard‑free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure. Completes GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management. Partners with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates.
