Career Opportunity: Project and Business Systems Manager Location: Prince George, BC Employment Type: Full-Time (35 hours per week) Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Project and Business Systems Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and oversight of CSFS’s IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives and priorities. This role provides leadership across IT operations and program delivery, supporting the successful implementation of technology initiatives that enhance organizational performance and service delivery. Responsibilities Collaborate with departmental Executive Directors and program leaders to identify technology solutions that solve business problems, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs. Evaluate the technical, economic, and operational feasibility of proposed projects and programs. Lead the planning, prioritization, and delivery of the IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with CSFS’s strategic direction. Create and oversee detailed project plans using advanced tools and techniques such as Gantt charts and critical path analysis. Oversee the full development lifecycle of IT solutions, including systems analysis, architecture design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation. Ensure the selection and implementation of scalable, secure, and supportable IT solutions that align with CSFS’s mission and operational needs. Lead, mentor, and support a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. Qualifications A university degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in complex IT environments, with demonstrated expertise in IT project and program delivery, portfolio oversight, and operational planning. Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools for project tracking, estimation, and performance measurement. PMP, PRINCE2, or other recognized project management certification preferred. Salary Range $ to $71.93 per hour.
