POWER ENGINEER Activity sector: Pulp and Paper Site: Kamloops, BC Wage: $42.65 per hour (4 th class qualified) Schedule: 4 on, 4 off (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, 12-hours each) YOUR ROLE The Kruger Kamloops Pulp Mill is recruiting for Entry Level Power Engineer for our Power and Recovery department. This permanent full-time position involves shift work, manual labour and equipment operation. Power and Recovery is responsible for the recovering of chemicals that were used to turn the wood chips into pulp. This department also generates power to support the mill. Your Responsibilities Equipment operation involving a vacuum truck, forklift, Bobcat, etc. Pre-start checks and operation of equipment Area clean-up Ensuring processes and equipment run safely Your Skills And Abilities Desire to learn, grow and succeed Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong problem solving & analytic skills, excellent judgment Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands Detail oriented Work well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor and professional image Your Qualifications 4 th Class (or higher) Power Engineering Certification High school diploma or equivalent Valid Class 5 Driver's License or eligibility to drive in Canada 2-3 years experience working in a safety sensitive industrial environment Previous related experience an asset WHY WORK AT KRUGER?
