Leesta Industries is an aerospace manufacturing company specializing in precision machining, assembly, and testing of complex components and systems for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a hands‑on and operationally minded Director of Quality capable of operating both strategically and operationally within a dynamic, evolving aerospace manufacturing SME environment. This role is ideal for a proven leader who is comfortable being close to operations, supporting teams directly when required, while also driving structure, accountability, customer confidence, and continuous improvement across the Quality function. Success in this position requires strong operational credibility, practical decision‑making, and the ability to influence within a collaborative manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities Ensure effective management of quality systems, audits, non-conformances, corrective actions, and customer quality requirements within daily operations Lead, support, and oversee the Quality team, including QA team members and inspectors Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards, customer requirements, and internal quality processes Partner closely with Production, Methods, Supply Chain, and leadership teams to support operational performance and product quality Develop and maintain structure, visibility, and accountability through KPIs and performance monitoring Support and mentor team members while fostering a collaborative and solutions‑oriented culture Identify operational gaps and implement realistic, sustainable improvements aligned with business priorities Contribute to strategic discussions while remaining connected to day‑to‑day manufacturing realities What we are looking for Postsecondary education in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing quality environment is required Strong aerospace and/or precision manufacturing experience Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams within an operational manufacturing environment Bilingualism (French and English) is required to support internal operations and customer communication Strong understanding of AS9100, audits, non‑conformance management, corrective actions, and customer quality requirements Hands‑on, practical, and solutions‑oriented leadership approach Comfortable operating within a dynamic and evolving SME manufacturing environment Why join us Opportunity to play a key leadership role within a well‑established aerospace manufacturer High visibility and direct impact on operations and organizational performance Collaborative and team‑oriented environment Opportunity to contribute strategically while remaining operationally connected Please note that only candidates currently residing in Canada and legally authorized to work in Canada will be considered for this position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
