Job Description As a Senior Strategic Account Manager you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling integrated solutions to data center construction firms, AI data center developers, and Neocloud service providers. You will engage early with owners, developers, general contractors, and design-build partners to support specifications and project scope. The position requires a strong understanding of high-density data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, connectivity, and physical security. The successful candidate will develop strategic relationships with AI data center construction companies and emerging Neocloud operators to capture greenfield and expansion opportunities. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of strategic account plans at key, named accounts. Drive new business development by researching, qualifying, contacting, presenting, and closing new clients based on an assigned territory or market segment. Continuously develop relationships with priority customer stakeholders, understand their key business issues, and recommend ways to deliver value. Act as liaison between the field and Global Accounts teams for pursuing new agreements, Value‑Add/Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) commitments, and increasing customer wallet‑share. Maintain and manage a pipeline of opportunities at named accounts, including renewals, projects, and share improvement opportunities. Communicate customer activity, opportunity status, renewal status, and strategic plan progress to management. Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs. Engage supplier sales resources to enlist their support and create solutions. Be an expert in strategic selling and take the lead in high‑level sales engagements. Provide pre‑ and post‑call coaching to the branch sales team. Qualifications High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 5+ years proven sales experience as a strategic account manager of large account portfolios. Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects. History of success maintaining and developing key relationships. Success in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Ability to understand where potential exists in assigned accounts and recognize and create opportunities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships. Strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office. Self‑starter and able to work efficiently under pressure. Ability to travel up to 25%. Compensation Details $117,591 – $146,989 annually. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. Benefits Eligible positions may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results.
