Overview Business Analyst, Toronto - 4 days WFO. The Systems Analyst (BA) responsibilities will be conducting requirements gathering sessions and other BA activities with a large diverse set of Product Controllers and Finance Controllers for medium to large size project initiative and able to provide high level key deliverable plan and detail breakdown of major tasks; understanding the various Capital Market Products and ability to differentiate various trade economics; mapping and tracing source data to WSB applications and understanding impact; work on requirements gathering and solution design for change requests and major programs. This position requires a lot of interpersonal interaction at all levels within the organization, from technical personnel to high level management, excellent communication skills are a must for this role. Responsibilities Undertake BA responsibilities of multiple strategic applications involving Capital Market Products Understand the various financial products traded on Markets with clients and how they have been modeled (eg: MBS, Bonds, Rate Derivatives); be familiar with booking and settlement process and concepts of trades, positions, and sub-ledger, price valuations Analyze existing data models built on MS Access and correlate business requirements to gaps in data models and build solutions Analyze and document business and functional requirements from business stakeholders; lead and facilitate collaborative sessions to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review Familiarize with current data models and systems; perform data analysis and reverse engineering to assess current and future states and perform gap analysis; identify upstream and downstream dependencies Construct data flow diagrams, business and system context diagrams; create design solutions; work closely with development teams to ensure proper understanding and execution of requirements in a timely manner Provide hands-on support during testing cycles including Functional Testing, Systems Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing Adopt Agile methodologies to enable periodic implementations Scrum management: provide high level deliverable plans and detail breakdowns to user stories and major tasks; guide and lead the Scrum team during all project phases; handle pressure with multiple priorities Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements; communicate to appropriate parties Work with tools and platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, SQL and be willing to learn ad hoc Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Preferably Technology or Business 5-7 years of Business Systems Analysis experience in a fast-paced environment Expert knowledge of SQL and Excel for data analysis Good Capital Markets product knowledge, particularly derivatives Proven data analysis experience and project delivery in financial services, preferably in MS Access Understanding and experience in software development life cycle Excellent communication skills are critical for this role Able to quickly and effectively gather, synthesize and drive resolution of project tasks in a cross-functional team Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision Teamwork & Collaboration – have principles, disagree if needed, and brainstorm Analytical and creative thinker Ability to clearly articulate problems and solutions Detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines Nice-to-have Experience working in Banking IT servicing Product Controllers and Finance Controllers Familiarity with coding languages like Java, .Net Dealing with Ambiguity #J-18808-Ljbffr
