This position will report into the Technical Manager Piping on the Cernavoda 1 EPC Project. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and reviewing piping stress models, performing seismic and non-seismic stress analysis/calculations using PEPS in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Div 1, CSA N285 and ASME B31.1 requirements. Assist in preparing and reviewing nuclear and non-nuclear piping support design and performing analysis/calculations using GT STRUDL, ANSYS or hand calculation in compliance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Div 1, CSA N285 and ASME B31.1 requirements. Assist in preparing and reviewing design/stress reports for piping systems and supports. Assist in preparing and reviewing design documents for CANDU systems of the nuclear power station (e.g., design plan, design specifications, technical specifications, system classification list, design requirements and code classification). Assist in reviewing piping GA, ISO, support drawings, flow diagrams/P&ID, DBOMs, SCL, and CCA. Assist in supporting the preparation of TSSA registration packages for pressure boundary modifications and interface with regulatory bodies. Ensure orderly coordination including reviews of all design input and output documents at all stages of the design. Report to the lead with timely updates on project performance for the assigned scopes or tasks. Attend site visits and meetings, as required. Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables in accordance with applicable QA programs, codes, standards, regulations, procedures with high emphasis on quality. Ensure personal qualification records are valid and all training is completed on time. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with a minimum of 2–3 years of experience in piping design/analysis. Familiar with EPC and/or EPCM projects. Eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. Familiar with CSA N285, CSA N289, ASME B31.1, ASME Sec III Div 1 requirements. Experience in seismic stress analysis using PipeStress is an asset. Experience preparing and reviewing design/stress reports for piping systems is an asset. Knowledge of pressure boundary modifications is an asset. General working knowledge of nuclear facility mechanical/process equipment and systems.
