Family Ministries Director - Aldergrove campusLangley, BC Aldergrove Campus Part‑time Feb 24, 2026 Hourly: $23‑$25 North Langley Community Church Family Ministries Director - Aldergrove Campus Purpose of Role The Aldergrove Family Ministries Director will lead Aldergrove’s Kids ministry (approximately 50‑60 children per week), from birth to grade 5, to help children connect with the life‑changing power of Jesus Christ, to love God and others. They will also engage the family in various special events. Leadership (50%) Ensure a dynamic children’s program at the Aldergrove campus for the Nursery (age 0‑2), Junior’s (age 3‑4) and Kids K‑Gr 5. This includes running the weekly Sunday program for K‑Gr 5 and providing oversight to the Nursery and Junior’s programs. Manage the Child dedication process at Aldergrove. Collaborate with the Family Ministries Pastor and the Family Ministry department for volunteer onboarding, training, and curriculum implementation. Recruit, lead, and support a team of volunteers for Aldergrove Children’s Ministry for two services. Create a volunteer schedule for Sunday programming. Ensure Family Ministries is safe, professional, and follows guidelines from NLCC’s Family Ministries Department and Plan to Protect. Support parents by resourcing them in their role as the primary spiritual leaders of their children. Administration (40%) Adapt provided curriculum to Aldergrove Kid’s program. Ensure check‑in tech systems is functioning. Ensure that welcome packets, newborn gifts, birthday cards, GO bags and Family Sunday supplies are prepared and distributed. Liaise with Central Support for bookings, communication, Welcome Team, etc. Attend monthly All‑Campus Family Ministry team meetings. Meet with the Aldergrove Campus Pastor 1‑2 times each month. Ensure supplies are ready for Sunday programming. Organize and run special events for families, including but not limited to: Family Sundays, Easter, MOVE camp, Halloween, Cozy Christmas. Other (10%) Attend NLCC all staff functions and AG staff functions as requested. Core Competencies Problem‑solving and Dependability: Thinks critically and solves problems effectively. Communication: Able to communicate effectively with many different audiences including children, parents, volunteers and colleagues, in various mediums, in‑person, phone and in writing. Good organization and attention to detail while maintaining priorities and meeting deadlines with little supervision. Team player. Loves and understands the development stages of the children they serve. Qualifications Faith and Character A passionate love for Jesus. Demonstrates ongoing growth in maturity as an apprentice of Jesus Christ. Demonstrates emotional health in leadership and relationships. Experience and Education Two or more years of experience in Children’s or applicable ministry, including working with volunteers. Education or training in areas such as ECE, Teaching, Ministry or other applicable areas would be an asset. Experience and abilities in leadership and biblical teaching. Experience in event planning and execution. Technical Skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft platforms, Slack, Rise, and Planning Center. Ability to learn dedicated software for various systems and tasks. Relationships Reports to: Kevin Schultz, NLCC Aldergrove Campus Pastor.
