Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Enterprise Platform Engineering team for a leading Vancouver-based retailer. This role is a hands-on technical leadership position focused on designing, operating, and evolving GitLab SaaS, Terraform Cloud, and CI/CD automation at enterprise scale. You will collaborate with platform, security, and product teams to deliver scalable, resilient DevOps solutions, while driving the adoption of AI-assisted workflows across the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include: Own and manage GitLab SaaS and Terraform Cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with security and SSDLC standardsBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines, runners, templates, and shared componentsDevelop and promote Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), including reusable modules, guardrails, and policy-as-codeDesign and operate GitOps workflows and automate provisioning, access management, and lifecycle processesIntegrate AI-assisted capabilities into CI/CD, code review, incident response, and operational workflows, ensuring responsible and governed useMaintain platform reliability through observability, metrics, and on-call supportAnalyze platform performance, identify improvement opportunities, and provide insights to inform roadmap decisionsCreate documentation, runbooks, and reference architectures to support best practices and self-service adoptionDrive enablement through templates, automation, and participation in communities of practice (demos, office hours, etc.)We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
