Who you are: We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer (Pre‑Sales) to drive technical success in large and strategic opportunities, contributing to revenue growth. What you'll do: As a Senior Solutions Engineer your key responsibilities include: Showcase and adapt Geotab solutions for prospective customers, tailoring demos to meet their specific needs. Position Geotab’s solutions and product features, using segment‑based knowledge to solve business challenges. Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, Product Management, and other internal teams to leverage Geotab’s segmentation strategies. Identify gaps in product and market fit, providing alternatives and feedback to product and development teams. Lead technical pre‑sales activities – discovery, demos, pilots, and POCs – to maximize the chances of closed deals. Develop and maintain comprehensive subject‑matter expertise across segments, contributing to playbooks, knowledge bases, and partner enablement. Mentor and support junior Solutions Engineers, sharing best practices and elevating overall team capability. Ensure documentation and reporting of opportunities in JIRA and Salesforce to support sales operations. What you'll bring to the role: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field. 5‑8 years of experience in a technical customer‑facing role (e.g., software engineering, systems integration). Strong technical knowledge of telematics, IoT, and related technologies. Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, or C#, and API integrations. Familiarity with Agile tools (JIRA) and CRM systems (Salesforce). Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Business acumen and a drive to contribute to revenue growth through pre‑sales engagements. Results‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and time‑management skills. Experience mentoring or guiding team members and creating technical training sessions. A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.
