The position is based in Chalk River and is for a Management System (MS) Specialist to support and continuously improve CNL’s Integrated Management System. Responsibilities Lead MS improvement initiatives across the organization and manage associated change management elements. Provide guidance in the development, implementation, and maintenance of MS documents. Guide the selection of applicable MS standards based on the scope of work. Organize and participate in management reviews of processes, programs, and their governing documentation. Lead improvement initiatives by facilitating changes from regulatory updates and ensure proper documentation updates. Assist the organization with business process definition and management. Promote adherence to MS procedures within CNL. Promote MS awareness through training, presentations, and the MS webpage. Report MS-related issues to Functional Support Managers and to the Director, MS. Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) on Licence Conditions Handbook changes. Coach management and staff on MS-related self-assessments. Support the audit process; serve as a CNL liaison with Registrar, Regulator, or internal audits, and participate in customer audits as requested. Assess adequacy, effectiveness and suitability of business processes to support a management system. Assess MS against ISO 9001 and N286 requirements and identify improvement opportunities. Prepare the Annual Safety Report for Management System Safety Control Areas. Assess Internal MS review data, develop high-level findings, and recommend improvements to top management. Perform other duties as assigned by your manager. Qualifications Education: University or college graduation in a relevant discipline (e.g., Management, Business Administration, Law, Quality, Operational Audit) or 15 years of equivalent experience. Experience: Developing, implementing and monitoring strategies, frameworks, or business models; conducting research, analysis, and development of policies, guidelines, plans, and reports; preparing briefing materials; leading and coaching teams; functioning in complex, dynamic environments; implementing operational improvements; and effectively working with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to establish working relationships at all levels, lead and motivate teams, build constructive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, develop practical solutions, communicate effectively, work independently and in a team, manage time to meet deadlines, and interface with management, regulators, registrars, and customers. Advanced understanding of requirements and their relation to Management Systems; knowledge of Canadian business obligations and practices. Security Clearance Eligibility: Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom, per Treasury Board policies. Working Conditions Five (5) days per week, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hour work week). Location Location: Hybrid — Chalk River Laboratory, Ontario. The site offers a mix of remote work and onsite presence in the Chalk River area (Deep River, Petawawa, Pembroke). Please note this is a hybrid position. Why CNL?
