OverviewThe Technical Sales Support – Electrical role is a customer‑facing position at the rental counter in Edmonton, AB. The role supports sales transactions and purchasing activities, assists with equipment service coordination, and serves as a key technical liaison between customers and the shop. It also performs a variety of administrative tasks that support day‑to‑day rental operations and overall business performance. ResponsibilitiesPromote visits to the branch by outbound calls and by engaging with customers during walk‑in traffic and inquiries for new, used, and rental equipment sales. Provide product information, technical support on applications of products, rentals, and quotes, and work to close sales. Own the life cycle of an order, from inbound inquiry to invoicing, coordinating with the shop, customers, and vendors. Offer electrical knowledge support to customers, including reading/interpreting blueprints, creating single‑line drawings, and providing technical clarifications to support shop processes. Conduct outbound lead generation calls to renters, inviting potential customers to visit branches and connecting them with outside sales representatives. Manage inventory by coordinating with branch staff and other locations to ensure accurate fleet movement and timely delivery of resources to customers. Maintain current knowledge of customers, economic environment, and industry trends; understand safety procedures; resolve product concerns, account disputes, warranties, and goodwill issues. QualificationsMinimum 3–5 years of customer‑facing experience. Journeyperson Electrical Certification or Electrical Technologist required. Experience in the equipment rental industry is an asset. Strong customer service skills and ability to build and maintain excellent relationships. Proven ability to understand construction phases, job site conditions, and project timelines to recommend appropriate rental products. Solid knowledge of temporary power electrical applications and ability to demonstrate equipment to increase customer awareness. Ability to generate revenue from walk‑in traffic, including rentals, parts, and service. Accountability for customer satisfaction metrics, including Net Promoter Score performance. Strong attention to safety while managing tight timelines, deadlines, and repetitive tasks. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to shift work schedules.
