Job Title Summer Program Worker (Group Homes) | #2174 Location & Term Richmond, BC Temporary Full Time Start Date: May 15, 2026 (Ending August 31, 2026) Schedule: Monday to Friday 08:30-16:00 (37.5 hours per week, min 30 max 37.5 hours per week) Hourly Wage: $22.66 as per the collective agreement Role This position involves recreational programming, instruction, and assisting with activities of daily living. It also represents the Association by participating in community events. * This position is subject to funding by the Canada Summer Jobs and is conditional upon approval by Service Canada. Requirements / Education / Experience Experience in assisting individuals in all aspects of daily living (total personal care, feeding, bathing, dressing, etc.) Knowledge of and ability to work with challenging behaviours Knowledge of and ability to deal effectively with behaviours associated with mental health (asset) Post‑secondary education or training in a related field Must be between 19-30 years old at intake, and not hold another full‑time summer job (30+ hours) Minimum one year of direct experience with people with developmental disabilities Training in behaviour management techniques Criminal Record Clearance Medical Clearance Valid First Aid/CPR TB Test Clearance Demonstrated competency in English Basic computer literacy Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold Refugee status What We Offer On‑the‑job training Educational and training opportunities Professional development Community involvement An inclusive work environment * This position requires Union membership.
