Our machine building client in Toronto, ON is seeking a highly skilledSenior Electrical Design Engineertolead the design, detailing, testing, commissioning, and customer support phasesof custom automated equipment projects. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, on-time electrical designs that meet customer specifications and production schedules.What We Offer: $100-120K GRRSP vacation additional expensesWhat You’ll Do Design and detailelectrical control systemsusingAutoCAD Electrical and EPlan Develop and modify electrical drawings based on past projects and new customer requirements Generate accurateBills of Materials (BOMs)and source appropriate electrical components Program and troubleshootPLC & HMI systems(multi-platform) Design and integratemotion control systems (servos, VFDs), safety Commission and install automated equipment at customer sites Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during testing and warranty support Manage engineering documentation, testing records, calculations, and project files Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) within required timelines Support Master Production Schedule milestones and meet project budget timelines Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical engineering, electrical shop, and production teams Mentor junior team members and uphold ISO and safety standardsWhat You Bring Engineering degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering/Technology (controls focus) 5+ years of electrical controls design experience with project ownership Strong PLC & HMI programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens STEP 7, or CODESYS) Experience designingservo and VFD-based motion control systems Proficiency inAutoCAD Electrical Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and equipment integration skills Ability to interpret electrical schematics and perform field measurements (multimeter, oscilloscope) Strong time management and project execution capabilities P.Eng designation considered an assetThis role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented electrical design professional who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and enjoys seeing projects through from design to installation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
