About The Role As a Senior Mechanical Engineer , you will develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro‑mechanical first‑of‑a‑kind tooling. You will report to the Manager of Maintenance Tooling Engineering. This position has a hybrid work schedule. Employees in a hybrid role are expected to work onsite at one of our Ontario offices (Kitchener, Burlington or Peterborough) 2 days per week. The annual salary for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $86,800 to $108,500 . Key Responsibilities Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro‑mechanical first‑of‑a‑kind tooling. Assembly and testing of custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished product. Help develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications. Help operate the final tooling system in the customer facilities. Provide technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering team. Perform both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and components against applicable codes and standards. Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering 5 years of relevant experience Understanding of conceptual design development, with design reviews and engineering change control processes.
