Calgary Structural Engineers ( also known as SMP-Services Cor(p. ) is looking for an Intermediate or Senior Structural Engineer (P.Eng) with 4-15 years of experience. The applicant must live in the Calgary area with Bachler of Science in Civil Engineering from a Canadian University. Calgary Structural Engineers is a small engineering firm that focuses on life style and professionalism. We service small civil and structural projects nation wide from our down town Calgary office. We are looking for a self-motivated P.Eng who is certified in Alberta, and can be certified throughout Canada. The engineer will require 4 years of experience with a P.Eng designation and be able to work independently on small projects. The candidate will be working from their home office and must be willing and available to work 8am-5pm Monday - Friday. They require a valid drivers license and a vehicle to use for work. The total scope of the role shall be, but is not limited to, the following duties as a professional engineer: On-site inspections in and around the City of Calgary Wood, Concrete and Steel detailed design work for residential and small industrial projects Screw Pile installation verification and conformation review (training provided) Framing and timber frame design Review and checking drawing package for structural and building code checks Retaining wall design work Miscellaneous Civil and Structural design work Qualification: P.Eng active member : AB and willing to obtain P.Eng status in all or most provinces in Canada Living in the Calgary area Excellent English oral and written communication skills required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a Canadian university.
