The Role As a Director, IB (International Banking) Client Commercial Technology Engineering, you will be in a high‑impact role, leading a group of technology professionals responsible for technical design, development, support, and delivery of global systems solutions and commercial banking client systems to resolve complex, multi‑dimensional business problems to support commercial business needs. Key Accountabilities Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Independently resolves highly complex, multi‑faced problems, often unstructured and without precedent, to meet the business needs of the end users. Applies expert financial and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and systems solutions. May involve rapid prototyping, with requirements and solutions developed on an iterative basis that provide interim deliverables until a final production solution is created. Manages major, multi‑disciplinary projects to implement and deliver solutions to business problems. Involves in the technology guideline of business requirements, processes and prepares business case proposals. Involves in the architecture definition and planning, securing and scheduling resources from development perspective. Involves in the development of detailed project plans, monitoring progress against planned objectives, reviewing finances, and securing consensus and cooperation from users and senior management. Involves in the implementation strategy and production support for initiatives under the portfolio. Builds and manages cohesive software architecture & data governance standards, artifacts, roadmaps, and provides technical direction for the applications in the portfolio. Ensures best practices are followed in design, development, documentation and tools needed to support various projects and existing production systems. Continually acquires and enhances knowledge of the bank’s and division’s business strategies and policies, risk management practices, product offerings, financial markets, instruments, regulatory requirements, back‑office processes, and rapidly changing technologies to provide effective business solutions and support to end‑user business lines. Understands, manages and actively participates with 3rd parties, selection, administration and overall relation in implementation of regional and enterprise projects. Creates an environment where the team pursues effective and efficient operations, while ensuring adherence to day‑to‑day business controls to meet operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk. Builds a high‑performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team, fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning. Occasional travel may be required. What You Will Bring to Succeed Experience 8+ years in management, software development, and IT industry work experience, with clear progression through ranks. 5+ years leading and building high performance teams . Strong technical people management skills to drive project implementation success. Strong leader with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build consensus and obtain cooperation from stakeholder groups and other technology teams. Disciplined in up‑to‑date development methodologies and familiar with software development technologies and concepts. Practical experience with systems design and specification for large‑scale applications. Areas of Expertise Wide responsibility over the commercial systems in all IB countries. Responsible for all IB commercial projects and their strategy. Knowledge and experience in commercial banking and 3rd‑party management.
