The Automation Engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary team that engages with every department across the organization to ensure our Gocators are designed and manufactured to the highest standard.You will work in a supportive team environment working with exciting technologies.The Automation and Validation team projects include new production automation equipment design, product validation and overall systems engineering.The Automation Engineer is an important link between R&D product development and Manufacturing of LMI’s product lines.The successful candidate will have a high level of knowledge in mechatronics, with experience designing and building automated equipment and precision mechanical assemblies.Experience in optics is a bonus.Working as part of our global Technology (R&D) team, you will report to the Team Lead in the Automation Validation team and work at our Burnaby head office.Typical Duties, Activities, ResponsibilitiesDesigns, supports, and implements new automated production equipment along with mechanical jigs and fixturesDesigns and implements industrial control systems.
