Account Manager Functional area: Marketing & Sales Work Type: Onsite Location: Thunder Bay, ON, CA Country/Region: CA City: Thunder Bay Responsibilities Develop and grow business prospects and customer relationships for products & services within the Epiroc portfolio Manage and coordinate the introduction of new products into the market with a focus on equipment, automation, and digitalization. Champion the development of a territory management plan to increase Epiroc’s market share of Northwestern Ontario through direct or indirect channels. Call on all customers in the Thunder Bay, Wawa and Geraldton & surrounding area; responsible for all contractors working on customer properties. Keep Regional Manager and National Sales Manager informed about market conditions and development in Salesforce. Assist inventory manager to ensure the warehouse has the right inventory and that products are accounted for. Provide leadership to the organization to ensure a good return for both the client and the company. Implement guidelines and procedures for contracts, service shop and products to minimize waste and increase performance of personnel and equipment. Issue monthly follow‑ups on contract and product performance (month‑end report). Co‑operate with technical department. Assist A/R department in collection procedures. Provide feedback to the Product Company on market, customer, and product needs / development. Provide technical solutions for drilling applications. Employ management techniques that maximize cost efficiency for the client. Organize and schedule proactive test drilling to improve chances of obtaining new business and to retain existing business. Investigate complaints and inquiries on all product lines; educate customers on proper use of products, best practice and establish procedures where necessary. Provide technical information to customers. Support and contribute to growth and business development in Canada. Additional responsibilities not listed but may apply. Spend at least 2 days a week underground and on surface pits to assist customers in finding efficiencies and continuous improvement. Knowledge/Education 5 years of construction or mining related education and/or work equivalent. 5 years of sales and marketing in the construction or mining business or work equivalent. Experience working in the Surface and Underground Drilling Products and Parts & Service business lines and prior Account Management experience within Epiroc is considered an asset. Skills and Abilities General knowledge of Epiroc products & applications along with the construction / mining market in Canada. Proven track record of achieving growth in business market development and customer share. Experience in the construction / mining industry is considered an asset. Superior customer relations & sales skills with an aptitude to hunt for new business. Experience in market research & development. High degree of technical ability & initiative.
