Job Title Infrastructure Engineering Intern Job Description People Inc. is looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Intern to partner with application development teams responsible for the publishing and shared services framework that powers the websites for one of the largest and fastest‑growing online publishers. The ideal candidate has sound knowledge of orchestrating infrastructure deployments in at least one cloud vendor (AWS or GCP). You’ll participate in and help fine‑tune a delivery‑focused development culture that champions collaboration, innovative thinking, and technical excellence while maintaining a foundation of work/life balance. About Your Role This position requires a highly competent, self‑directed individual who can help shape processes and define standards. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently on their own and contribute to group projects, completing tasks on schedule in a fast‑paced, upbeat environment. About The Position Potential candidates should have extensive experience testing functionality, compatibility, and integration of web applications. Hands‑on object‑oriented programming knowledge preferably in Core Java(8+), JavaScript, or Python. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or AWS ECS orchestrations. Strong knowledge of modern AFT testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright. Good understanding of containerization technologies like Docker. Hands‑on Jenkins Pipeline scripting and knowledge of the ELK stack. Understanding of Terraform and Helm. Experience with source‑code systems such as Bitbucket and a solid grasp of CI/CD tooling, including test reporting. Experience with version control tools such as Git. Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle. Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. About You Project experience in developing or scripting in Java, Python, or JavaScript. Basic knowledge of UNIX commands and debugging skills across remote execution. Ability to debug failures in a remote environment. Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and related test artifacts (test data, harness scripts, automated scripts). Familiarity with software configuration management, release management, and database manipulation using Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc. Good knowledge of modern cloud‑based development practices in AWS or GCP and container‑native technologies like Docker. Highly proficient in English with excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to deliver and manage deadlines in an agile development environment.
