Manager, Office of Clinical Affairs (Medico-Legal Case Management) The Manager of the Medico-Legal Case Management (MLCM) team provides comprehensive operational support to the MLCM Team Lead to ensure the smooth operation of the department. The job responsibilities include the following. Identify and triage severity of medico-legal cases which are escalated to MLCM Collaborates with OPE and relevant stakeholders for early resolution of medico-legal feedback cases Identify cases warranting waiver, compensation and/or ex-gratia payments Timely preparation of discharge and release form(s) and working with relevant stakeholders for efficient management of payouts Vetting of case summaries for reporting to insurers Vetting of medical reports Arrange for legal support for internal stakeholders as needed Provide administrative support to legal team Meeting with stakeholders and lawyers Raise submission for senior management's approval for settlement sums and/or any other mandates for potential/ongoing medico-legal cases Build rapport and foster trusting relationships with stakeholders, observe ethical guidelines and apply best practices Assist the MLCM Team Lead in managing the day-to-day operations of the department Maintenance of database(s) and analysis of data as required to track and monitor trends Facilitate problem-solving including identifying process improvement opportunities Vetting of bi-monthly reports Make full use of resources to improve/simplify processes and engage in continuous improvement to achieve better outcomes Assist MLCM Team Lead to identify medico-legal risks Assist MLCM Team Lead to track and monitor yearly legal expenditure Guide junior members of the team and support succession planning by developing high-potential member(s) for increased responsibilities Support cross-functional project coordination Lead and manage any other additional responsibilities and/or projects as assigned by supervisor(s) Job Requirements Degree in any discipline from a recognised institution (Clinical degree such as Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health is preferred but not required) Prior work experience in the healthcare industry is an added advantage Experience in medico-legal matters, risk management, or healthcare compliance will be beneficial Proven leadership potential with demonstrated ability to assist in planning and driving new initiatives Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated attention to details and systematic approach to work processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all organisational levels and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams Results-oriented mindset with proven ability to deliver outcomes within established timeframes Self-motivated individual capable of working independently whilst contributing effectively to team objectives #J-18808-Ljbffr
