Overview Group Leader (Volunteer Advocates) - MBC with Results Canada Results Canada is a grassroots advocacy organization dedicated to ending extreme poverty by empowering people to use their voices effectively. They work with volunteers who focus on strategic advocacy areas to influence policies and generate resources for programs that improve the health, education, and opportunities for people in low- and middle-income countries. They are currently seeking Group Leaders in Mississauga and a new group in Caledon. As a Group Leader, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your advocacy skills and leadership abilities while collaborating with others who share your passion for ending extreme poverty in your community. You will organize and lead monthly online meetings, support volunteers in taking advocacy actions, and report on your group's progress to Results Canada. Utilize your organizing and leadership skills for a meaningful cause. Collaborate with like-minded individuals and engage in political advocacy. Receive best-in-class advocacy support and training. Participate in events and conferences connecting you with experts in the International Development Sector. Gain civic engagement knowledge applicable to other public policy issues. Minimum Age 16 This is a long-term commitment, requiring flexibility. While some blocks of time will be scheduled, such as monthly group meetings and leaders\' calls with Results staff, most of your volunteering hours will be on your own time. You will follow guidelines and deadlines set by Results Canada for specific projects and ensure your group is informed and committed to achieving advocacy goals effectively.
