Job Summary As part of our continued growth, Targray is seeking a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Trader/Originator to join our energy trading team at our Montreal headquarters. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with 2–4 years of experience in B2B sales, commodities, market-facing commercial roles, or trading-related environments who is excited to build a career in the fast-growing energy transition space. Direct RNG trading experience is not required. We are looking for someone with strong transferable commercial skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to develop into a high-performing trader within our team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including origination and risk, to support commercial activities, help execute transactions, build relationships with counterparties and customers, and contribute to market development in a rapidly evolving sector. This is a full-time, in-office role (Monday–Friday). Business Development: Build and maintain a sales pipeline, support client outreach, and help develop new commercial relationships across the RNG value chain. Deal Support: Contribute to commercial negotiations, contract reviews, and relationship management with counterparties and customers. Research & Analysis: Monitor pricing, supply/demand trends, and regulatory changes to inform commercial strategy and trading decisions. Collaboration: Work closely with senior traders and cross-functional teams to evaluate deals and develop commercial solutions. Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations on market trends, regulatory updates, and emerging business opportunities. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s in Finance/Economics is considered an asset. Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, commodities, trading support, market analysis, energy markets, environmental markets, or another commercial role involving customer interaction, negotiation, and transaction execution. Commercial Skillset: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to engage external stakeholders and advance opportunities. Analytical Strength: Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data, assess commercial opportunities, and support decision-making. Market Knowledge: Exposure to commodities, energy, logistics, environmental products, or other market-based industries is an asset. Experience in RNG is welcome, but not required. Location: Must be based in Montreal or Canada. Language: English fluency required due to regular interaction with stakeholders across North America and international markets.
