Responsibilities Test and observe electrical, electronic and mechanical components and systems using testing and measuring instruments Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switch gear, generators and other electro‑mechanical equipment Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components Wind, assemble and install various types of coils for electric motors or transformers Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors by welding, brazing or soldering electrical connections and by aligning and adjusting parts Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switch gear Test repaired motors, transformers, switch gear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators or other parts Perform on‑site servicing and repair Requirements 2‑year electrical, technical, or related degree Completion of an electrical apprenticeship At least 2 years' experience as an electrical technician Excellent problem‑solving skills Good communication skills Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault‑testing equipment Benefits Terms of Employment: Full time Permanent Position 40 hours per week Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Morning Salary: Negotiable Required Years of Experience: 1 year to 2 years #J-18808-Ljbffr
