Supervisor, Mine Operations (Services) The Services Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all mine services and support activities required to enable safe, efficient, and continuous open pit operations. This role provides hands‑on leadership to crews and contractors, ensuring effective execution of pit dewatering, shovel cable handling, wall scaling, and other critical support functions that directly impact production, safety, and mill feed reliability. The Services Supervisor works closely with Production, Drill & Blast, Technical Services, Maintenance, and the Mill to remove operational constraints and maintain safe, accessible working conditions in the pit. Responsibilities Provide visible safety leadership through regular field presence and meaningful worker interactions Lead safety activities including MBAs, FLRAs, safety meetings, workplace inspections, and hazard identification Plan and coordinate daily and weekly services activities in alignment with senior supervision and site priorities Oversee pit dewatering systems, pump installations, monitoring, and maintenance Supervise pit wall scaling, shovel and electrical cable handling, and auxiliary service work Coordinate contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality work execution Collaborate with Production, Drill & Blast, Maintenance, Geotechnical, Environmental, and Mill teams Monitor performance using SIC and KPIs, addressing delays and implementing improvements Ensure accurate reporting of work completed, issues identified, and corrective actions Qualifications Safety compliance and engagement performance Dewatering effectiveness and water management reliability Quality and timeliness of services execution Equipment and infrastructure downtime related to services Workforce efficiency and work quality Previous supervisory experience in open pit mining or related heavy industrial operations Strong knowledge of pit services activities (dewatering, scaling, auxiliary equipment, contractor oversight) Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and regulatory compliance Strong planning, communication, and team leadership skills Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, changing operational environment What We Offer Comprehensive Health Coverage – Extended health, dental, and insurance benefits for peace of mind.
