Position Details: The Insurance Operations Sr. Associate plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the insurance operations portfolio, including total loss and credit life claims and ancillary product cancellations. The role minimizes losses arising from insurance-related events by managing uninsured lease risk, negotiating with adjusters, overseeing end-to-end credit life claim processing, and maximizing financial recoveries from ancillary product rebates. The Senior Associate also mentors junior staff, enhances vendor performance, and contributes to process improvements and policy development. This position reports to the Manager, Default Management. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the end to end management of complex total loss and physical damage claims while providing strategic oversight to adjusters and external vendors to expedite resolution. Review and interpret complex insurance policy wordings and loss documentation to ensure accurate Proof of Loss submission and timely insurer payment. Develop and maintain insurance claims dashboards and reconciliation reports to support audit readiness and performance tracking. Ensure adherence to internal SLAs and regulatory timelines for total loss and credit life claims. Provide subject matter expertise on insurance claims to internal stakeholders and contribute to cross functional projects. Provide guidance on collections of deficiency balances after insurance payment. Collaborate on charge off processes and ensure accuracy in credit bureau reporting. Ensure policy alignment for collections of balances outstanding after insurance payouts. Oversee coordination with third party vendors for timely processing of ancillary insurance cancellations and rebates. Lead the initiative to bring rebate processing in house including documentation and execution. Ensure accurate tracking of all rebates and support financial reconciliation activities when required. Act as the primary liaison with insurance and warranty vendors ensuring compliance with service level agreements and driving performance through quarterly reviews. Validate vendor invoices and oversee metric reporting on all insurance and ancillary product activities. Maintain and continuously improve internal documentation and operational procedures. Qualifications 3+ years of experience with auto insurance claims Education and Certification: College degree ideal but not required. High school degree required. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Subject matter expert in auto insurance operations. Proficient in Excel at an intermediate to advanced level. Requires minimal supervision to execute responsibilities while multitasking effectively. Delivers exceptional customer experience through engagement and a positive attitude. Able to manage conflict and build strong relationships with team members. Capable of handling customer inquiries conflicts and complaints effectively. Able to prioritize responsibilities to manage tasks efficiently. Capable of working through situations without defined processes and finding effective solutions.
