We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workflow and Microservices Lead to join our dynamic team with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technology projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure applications using cutting edge technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of client lifecycle management, KYC lifecycle, workflow (Business Process Management BPMN, case management CMN) and rules (Decision model DMN, business rules engine BRE) practices, low‑code platforms contributing significantly to our core platforms and services. Responsibilities Design, develop, automate, test, maintain, and deploy highly effective, manageable, monitorable, configurable client lifecycle management workflows/Case focusing on KYC. Work with COTS (Commercial off the shelf) SaaS systems. Perform extensive architectural design, implementation, and evolution of workflow and rules solutions. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including product owners, architects, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features. Perform mandated code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Integrate workflow with internal systems using the tool’s array of capabilities. Embrace AI for development team and operations efficiencies. Build scalable, distributed, highly available systems that will handle millions of transactions. Find cost‑effective yet scalable solutions for the firm. Write unit tests and automation tests for development. Deliver testable, maintainable, scalable, configurable code. Soft Skills Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, negotiation skills. Adaptive, flexible, resilient, and committed to design‑thinking, deliverables, application support and continuous learning in a rapidly evolving IT landscape. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in system analysis and programming of software applications. Experience in managing and implementing successful projects. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development. Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills. Consistent clear and concise written and verbal communication. Extensive experience in at least two of the following workflow engines: Pega, IBM BAW, Unqork, Outsystems. Experience with Fenergo is an added advantage. Exposure to programming skills responsible for development of Services/APIs using Springboot, Java, TypeScript, Apache Camel, Kafka. Extensive experience with multiple DMN /BRE tools like Drools, IBM BAM, IBM ODM in configuring, managing, exposing, and versioning rules and decisions. Education Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. Nice to Have Skills Experience integrating the workflow solution with systems using various sync/async protocols. Experience with life‑cycle management, building exception flows, and troubleshooting workflows and applications in live production systems. Experience with OAuth2, JWT, and HashiCorp Vault, Citi’s COIN for advanced authentication and authorization mechanisms. Experience designing data models and integrating with multiple modern databases. Integration with data analytics, monitoring, visualization tools. Experience incorporating AI technologies like copilot, renovate, delphyne, and other agentic AI capabilities to measure efficiency in workflows and operation workload reduction. Experience with Redis or equivalent for caching and performance optimization. Exposure to API Gateways, Service Discovery, and Distributed Tracing. Exposure to sanctions, compliance and KYC type of applications. Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerization tools like Docker.
