You will design, implement, test, and architect Infotainment software solutions for functionality deployed across our vehicle portfolio and ecosystem.Your work will directly impact GM vehicles on the road and improve the customer experience, contributing to GM’s vision of a world with ZERO Crashes, ZERO Emissions, and ZERO Congestion.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high‑quality software solutions for Software‑Defined Vehicle – Infotainment Applications and ServicesDesign, develop, and implement Infotainment requirements to continuously improve software functions and user experience using embedded software development frameworks in Android, QNX, and Linux environmentsAdhere to best software design principles, utilizing design patterns and understanding abstractions for effective software solutionsTest and demonstrate software functionality and readinessSupply common solutions across all GM owned softwareDocument requirements for design solutions and link them to test cases that can demonstrate software functionalityParticipate in architecture, requirements, design, code, and test case reviewsUtilize automated test tools in build environments, benches, and vehicles to verify functionality at the controller, system, and vehicle levelAct as an inclusive Agile Scrum team member to deliver software solutionsHave a voice in software planning events, share ideas and learnings, and help teach/train othersYour Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Engineering fieldMust be graduating between December 2025 and August 2026Able to work full‑time, 40 hours per weekPreferred SkillsSkilled in programming languages, preferably Kotlin, Java, or C/C++Experience with JIRA, GIT, and Agile software development frameworkExperience developing applications and middleware on embedded operating systemsObject‑oriented software development experience with a solid grasp of algorithms and data structuresExperience with testable software architecture JUnit, Espresso, TDD, MVVM, Clean ArchitectureExperience with Android Open Source Project developmentExperience developing automotive infotainment solutionsKnowledge of CAN, LIN, ARXML, or Ethernet communications protocolsSoftware architecture principles and best practicesExperience with Formula SAE, Ecocar, or other automotive-related experience/clubsCustomer‑centric focus with solution developmentCompensation The salary range for this role is $73,900 to $110,900.
