We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer with strong frontend expertise to help build and evolve Cardata’s core platform. You’ll play a hands‑on role in designing and shipping performant, scalable, and intuitive user experiences, while contributing across the stack where needed. The Team The Portal Team at Cardata is responsible for building the foundation of our product, scalable systems, clean user experiences, and flexible architecture that supports rapid iteration. We operate with a high ownership, high velocity mindset: We prioritize shipping real value quickly through small, functional slices We collaborate directly with product and SMEs to reduce ambiguity and rework We use AI-assisted development workflows to increase speed without sacrificing quality We emphasize clean architecture, strong fundamentals, and continuous improvement What You'll Be Doing Frontend & Full-stack Development Build high-quality, performant workflows and experiences using React and Next.js Contribute across the stack, which includes: TypeScript, NestJS, NestJS and PostgreSQL Develop scalable UI architecture using component libraries and design systems Own features end-to-end, from concept to production AI-Accelerated Development Leverage tools like Cursor or Claude Code to: Rapidly prototype and ship features Improve code quality and reduce boilerplate Assist in debugging, refactoring, and test generation Continuously evolve how we use AI to increase engineering velocity and output quality Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code Contribute to code reviews, RFCs, and engineering standards Help define and evolve best practices, patterns, and architecture Ensure high quality through testing (unit/integration/E2E) and strong fundamentals Work closely with Product, Design, other engineers, and SME's from other parts of Cardata to shape solutions, not just implement tickets Break down complex problems into clear, shippable increments Take ownership of delivery, timelines, and outcomes Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and accountability What You'll Bring 8–10+ years of experience building modern web applications Strong expertise in: (TypeScript, React, NextJS); NestJS (Nice to have) Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases Frontend Strength Deep understanding of: Component architecture and design systems State management and data fetching patterns Performance optimization and UX best practices Ability to build clean, intuitive, and scalable UI systems AI-Native Development Hands‑on experience using Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI tools in your development workflow Demonstrated ability to use AI to increase speed, improve code quality, and reduce rework Strong judgment on when to trust vs. verify AI‑generated code Strong understanding of testing (unit/integration), CI/CD, and code quality practices Experience working in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments Proven ability to scope, break down, and deliver complex features Skilled at working and communicating cross‑functionally with Product, Design, and other SME's and explaining technical decisions clearly High ownership mindset with a bias toward action and results Nice to Have Experience with AWS (Lambda, SQS/SNS, etc.) Experience building internal tools, platforms, or design systems Familiarity with feature flagging tools (e.g., Flagsmith) Experience with analytics/data tools (e.g., Snowflake, ThoughtSpot) Background in high‑growth SaaS environment Compensation The expected base compensation for this role is $160,000-190,000 CAD annually dependent on location with actual earnings dependent on experience, skills, and performance.
