The role involves conducting in-person and virtual property and casualty risk inspections, completing building valuations, performing desktop risk assessments, collaborating with underwriting teams, and facilitating seminars and workshops. What You'll Be Doing Conduct risk control inspections and building valuations as assigned Prepare written reports in line with company guidelines, procedures, and established timelines Provide recommendations to control and reduce identified risks Communicate and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders What You'll Need To Have University degree or college diploma or equivalent risk controls experience Completion of relevant designations such as CRM (Canadian Risk Management) Technical training related to risk control (e.g., RMS School, fire protection programs, construction, security) A minimum of 7 years of related Risk Controls, Risk Services, or Loss Prevention experience Proficiency with computer applications and willingness to learn new technologies In-depth technical & engineering knowledge of risk control practices, procedures and standards Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities Proven self‑starter with the ability to meet strict deadlines Availability to travel within an assigned region and visit regional offices as required Personal vehicle, valid driving license, and vehicle insurance for business purposes What Makes You Stand Out Deep hands‑on experience conducting property and casualty inspections, valuations, and complex risk assessments—both in person and virtually Trusted advisor who builds strong relationships with underwriters, brokers, and clients, translating technical findings into impactful insights Strategic problem‑solver with advanced technical and analytical expertise, identifying risks and developing practical risk‑control solutions Confident communicator and educator who enjoys sharing knowledge through presentations, training, seminars, and workshops What We Offer Base salary range: $98,500 - $135,500 (actual pay depends on experience, skills, and fit for the role).
