Overview Position Summary:Within the assigned territory, responsible for direct sales of company products and services. Contributes to the attainment of individual, area and company goals and objectives.Responsibilities We are seeking a high‑impact Sales Consultant to drive growth, build strategic relationships, and expand our market presence across Western Canada. This role is designed for a consultative sales professional who operates with autonomy, thinks strategically, and consistently delivers results. This role is not a transactional sales role. We are looking for someone who understands how to build influence, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and close at a high level while serving as a trusted partner to customers, with a primary focus on Hemostasis and Autoimmunity.Key AccountabilitiesAchieve annual sales objectives as established by managementAnalyze existing and anticipated customer requirements and promote the consideration and purchase of company products and servicesInitiate and develop relationships with both existing and prospective customers, with a strong focus on identifying new sales opportunitiesPrepare and deliver effective sales and product presentations aligned to customer needsMaintain all aspects of the Werfen Customer Database and Property Accountability documentationAchieve and sustain a high level of competency in the knowledge, positioning, and application of Werfen products and services, while striving for comparable awareness of competitive systemsPrepare accurate and compliant quotations in accordance with company policies and proceduresDevelop accurate sales forecasts and prepare required sales reportsPrepare and execute an annual territory business plan aligned with corporate and regional prioritiesEnsure compliance with all applicable ISO‑mandated policies, procedures, work instructions, and other responsibilities as assigned by Sales ManagementNetworking & Key RelationshipsMarketingSales OperationsClient ServicesTechnical ServiceInformation TechnologyEducation & ExperienceMedical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) certification or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in a life‑science–related fieldHands‑on clinical or diagnostic laboratory experience is strongly preferredPrior experience working in a hospital, reference lab, or regulated laboratory environment is highly desirableExperience interacting with laboratory managers, pathologists, or technical staff is an assetLocationLocation: Vancouver, British Columbia (preferred)Territory: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, ManitobaWork Model: Field‑BasedQualifications Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:Bachelor's degree in Business or Scientific discipline or equivalent experience required.Minimum of 3 years prior sales experience (medical and/or capital sales experience preferred), or equivalent business experience required.Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.Skills & Capabilities:Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong customer focus with customer service mindsetDemonstrated strong written and verbal communicationGoal and action orientedAbility to create working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work independently with little daily oversightAbility to effectively manage multiple priorities while driving results in a fast paced and deadline driven environmentAbility to create and execute sales presentations that focus on value creationTravel Requirements:Up to 50% travel.The annual base salary range for this role is currently $90,000 to $130,000. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan retirement benefits with an employer match, as well as paid vacation and sick leave.
