Manufacturing unique heat-resistant alloys and high-nickel/chrome alloys primarily for the petrochemical industries, Kubota leads the industry in quality and advanced technology. As per customer requirements, Kubota designs and casts centrifugal pipes and static castings of fittings, which are then machined, welded (Automatic, Semi-Automatic, Orbital & Manual), GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, followed by in-house NDT (RT, PT, VT), in-house DT, R&D lab, as well as hydro testing. Summary: Responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of EHS strategies, policies and programs for Kubota Materials Canada Corporation. Major Responsibilities (but not limited to): Coordinate and maintain internal environmental reporting and documentation systems to support regulatory compliance and internal environmental performance tracking Ensure compliance with the facility’s Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECA) for Air, Noise, and Stormwater, including maintaining documentation, monitoring requirements, and regulatory records Serve as a point of contact and liaison with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) as required, while working closely with contracted Environmental Consultants to support environmental monitoring, regulatory reporting, and compliance initiatives Coordinate all aspects of the facility’s waste management program, including oversight of waste streams, management of contracts with external waste haulers, and ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal in accordance with environmental regulations Work collaboratively with the Waste Management Union position to coordinate daily waste management activities and ensure proper waste segregation, storage, and handling practices across the facility Support facility capital projects by coordinating the identification, classification, and disposal of waste materials generated during project work, ensuring compliance with environmental requirements Manage ordering and invoicing related to waste management materials and services, including processing waste disposal invoices and tracking applicable environmental and government fees Conduct and coordinate environmental sampling activities, including water, soil, dust, and chemical sampling, ensuring proper sampling techniques and documentation procedures are followed Maintain knowledge and oversight of chemical handling, storage, and regulatory obligations to ensure environmental compliance within the facility Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, engineering, and other departments to support environmental compliance initiatives and environmental best practices within the manufacturing environment Assist in maintaining environmental records and documentation required for regulatory inspections, audits, and environmental reporting requirements Support environmental initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to reduce environmental risk and improve environmental performance at the facility Ensure alignment with the overall Environmental program goals and objectives of Kubota Materials Canada Other related duties, as required Education, Experience and Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Environmental Technology, Environmental Science, or Environmental EngineeringTechnology, or a related environmental field, from an accredited college or university 2–3 years of experience in environmental compliance, environmental reporting, or environmental monitoring within a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience working with environmental regulatory approvals and reporting requirements, including air, noise, stormwater, or waste management compliance Knowledge of waste management regulations, environmental sampling techniques, and environmental monitoring programs Familiarity with chemical handling, storage, and environmental regulatory requirements in an industrial setting Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Experience with AutoCAD or similar technical drafting software is considered a strong asset Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments Kubota Materials Canada Corporation is an equal opportunity employer which considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, colour, creed, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability.
