Location: ESTEVAN Summary of Position Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Dragline Maintenance Department. Responsibilities Organizing, implementing and directing the activities of the Dragline Maintenance Department at the mine-site; Developing the budget and forecasts for all Dragline Maintenance expense and Capital spending; Managing an effective Dragline preventative maintenance program; Ensuring all activities in the department are in compliance with environment and safety legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines and standard mine operating procedures; Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in the department; Establishing a positive working environment by conducting and participating in activities that contribute to an effective working relationship with all employees; Promoting teamwork and employee development through effective communication and implementing and monitoring performance standards; Assuming other duties and/or responsibilities as required in response to changing circumstances and the economic and physical environment of the Mine or Company. Qualifications Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and organizational skills; Have a minimum of 15 years of related mining experience in a managerial/supervisory role would be preferred; Possess a Journeymans Trade certificate or an Engineering degree; Have knowledge of all mining equipment and installations as well as experience and knowledge of current safety procedures; Possess an understanding of mine maintenance software tools; Have the ability to learn quickly and maintain motivation even in the face of inevitable delays, setbacks, and policy, shift and schedule changes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
