The Opportunity The Advisory Practice is growing its retail sales team and is seeking a driven, client-facing Retail Sales Associate to support the distribution of the firm's investment ideas, deal flow, and research to financial advisors, portfolio managers, and wealth management professionals across Canada. This is an ideal opportunity for someone currently in wealth management, as an associate, analyst, or junior advisor, who wants to transition into a specialized capital markets sales role with direct exposure to mining deal flow, private placements, and institutional-quality research. Key Responsibilities Proactively reach out to and cultivate relationships with financial advisors, investment advisors, and portfolio managers across Canadian wealth management channels Introduce the firm's equity research coverage, investment themes, and mining deal flow to a broad network of retail-channel professionals Support senior sales professionals in distributing private placement and brokered financing opportunities to eligible advisor and client networks Develop and maintain a pipeline of advisor relationships across wirehouses, independent dealers, family offices, and boutique wealth firms Stay current on the firm's research and coverage universe, communicating investment ideas with clarity and conviction Attend and support flagship investor events, roadshows, and mining conferences as a relationship touchpoint Track client activity, outreach, and pipeline in CRM systems, reporting on engagement metrics to senior leadership Collaborate with the trading desk, investment banking, and research teams to ensure a seamless client experience around deal execution What We're Looking For Experience & Background 2–3 years of experience in a wealth management or capital markets environment — ideally as an Investment Advisor Associate, Portfolio Manager Associate, or junior IA Exposure to advisor-facing sales, client communications, or relationship management in a financial services context Familiarity with Canadian brokerage, dealer, or wealth management infrastructure (MFDA/CIRO-regulated environments preferred) Interest in or existing knowledge of the mining, resource, or commodities sector is a strong asset Licensing & Education CIRO registration (or eligibility to obtain): CSC, CPH, or equivalent required Completion of, or progress toward, the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) exam is an asset Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred Skills & Attributes Highly motivated self-starter with a hunter mentality, comfortable building a book of contacts from the ground up Excellent communicator with the ability to convey complex investment ideas simply and persuasively Strong interpersonal skills and genuine enthusiasm for building relationships in a niche, relationship-driven industry Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple advisor conversations and deal timelines simultaneously Entrepreneurial mindset aligned with a dynamic, independent firm culture Why This Role This is a rare opportunity to join a boutique firm with an institutional-grade platform.
