Overview Oxford Learning Halifax is currently seeking motivated part‑time tutors to join our dedicated team. As a Tutor/Teacher at Oxford Learning, you will play a key role supporting students in Grades 9‑12. This role is in‑person, so you must be able to commute to this location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. Responsibilities Teach up to 3 students at a time, following our proven teaching methodologies. Provide personalized instruction in a range of math and science subjects, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology. Fill out post‑lesson notes and communicate student progress. Maintain a friendly, encouraging, and professional demeanor at all times. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Strong math and science knowledge, aligned with the current high‑school curriculum. Prior experience coaching or tutoring math and/or science at the secondary level. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and work with students at different levels. Benefits Part‑time hours, Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday evenings 4 pm – 7 pm.
