Position Summary We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support transportation and shipping operations for pole and rail tie products leaving our Prince George plant. This role is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments by truck and rail, managing railcar orders and documentation, and working closely with production to ensure orders ship on time and customer commitments are met. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills. The Logistics Coordinator will also support storm response logistics, which may include occasional on-call availability. A company phone will be provided for on-call support. Key Responsibilities Coordinate outbound shipments of poles and rail ties via truck and rail Schedule trucks and railcars to support shipping timelines and customer requirements Order, release, track, and manage railcar movements and related paperwork Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading and other required shipment records Enter shipment information into SAP and maintain accurate freight and inventory records Collaborate with production teams to ensure shipments are loaded and dispatched on schedule Monitor orders and flag potential delays due to shipping constraints Respond to customer and internal inquiries related to deliveries, shipment status, and documentation Review carrier performance and identify opportunities for improved service and cost savings Support transportation needs during storm response events, including occasional on-call coverage Participate in yard inventory coordination and yard safety activities Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant logistics or transportation experience Post‑secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered Experience coordinating truck and rail shipments required; rail logistics experience is a strong asset Experience with SAP and Power BI systems is an asset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Strong communication and relationship‑building skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Valid driver’s license Benefits Extended health and dental coverage Life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) Short‑Term and Long‑Term disability coverage Competitive compensation Annual Profit Share Program Retirement program (RRSP) with generous Company match (150% of employee’s 4% contribution) Company Share Purchase Program with 25% Company contribution match Career advancement opportunities Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Stella‑Jones is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
