Senior Director, Procurement We are partnering with a growing Canadian healthcare company to recruit a Senior Director, Procurement for a newly elevated enterprise leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. The organization is expanding through a combination of strategic acquisition and strong organic growth, bringing together smaller operating businesses that provide specialized healthcare services in their local markets. These businesses have established patient relationships, supplier practices, product needs, inventory habits, and ways of working. The opportunity now is to create a coordinated enterprise procurement and supply chain function that can support continued growth, improve visibility, strengthen supplier value, and bring practical structure to a complex multi-site environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to own the roadmap for procurement and supply chain across the platform, including supplier strategy, category management, retail product optimization, inventory discipline, warehousing, distribution, contract management, reporting, and process improvement. This role will be central to helping the business scale well. As new businesses join the platform and existing operations continue to grow, procurement and supply chain must evolve from locally managed activities into an enterprise capability that supports commercial performance, operational discipline, product availability, service levels, and local team effectiveness. The outcomes that matter most: Within the first year, this leader will be expected to: Build a clear picture of current supplier relationships, spend, inventory, warehouse, distribution, and purchasing practices across the platform. Create a practical enterprise roadmap for procurement and supply chain improvement that supports both acquisition integration and organic growth. Strengthen supplier partnerships and improve commercial terms, service levels, reliability, and contract performance. Improve visibility into spend, inventory, product performance, supplier costs, and operational complexity. Bring more discipline to retail product categories, including assortment, SKU complexity, margin, product availability, and inventory turns. Establish processes, reporting, KPIs, and decision rights that help the business operate more effectively without adding unnecessary bureaucracy. Support the integration of newly acquired healthcare service businesses by assessing supplier relationships, purchasing practices, inventory processes, and opportunities for platform-level leverage. Build trust with operators, clinicians, local teams, and suppliers by positioning procurement and supply chain as enabling functions, not control functions. Create early wins that demonstrate the value of enterprise coordination while respecting what has made local specialized healthcare businesses successful. This role is well suited to a senior procurement and supply chain professional who has built, transformed, or scaled capability in a growing, multi-site, operationally complex business. The right candidate will understand how procurement and supply chain decisions affect both commercial performance and local service delivery, and will be able to create enterprise discipline without losing sight of the operating realities of smaller, specialized businesses. We are looking for someone who brings: Progressive leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, or related operational leadership. Experience creating structure and process in a business where systems, data, practices, and accountabilities are still evolving. Experience supporting growth through acquisition integration, multi-site expansion, organic growth, or operational consolidation. Strong supplier negotiation, vendor management, contract management, and commercial partnership skills. Experience with retail product categories, SKU rationalization, product assortment, inventory turns, and margin improvement. Exposure to warehousing, distribution, inventory management, transportation, or supply chain operations in a multi-site environment. The ability to improve cost discipline, working capital, service levels, supplier performance, and operational scalability. Strong analytical and financial acumen, including comfort working with imperfect data to create better visibility and decision-making. Credibility with a CEO and the practical judgment to work effectively with local operating teams. A low-ego, hands-on leadership style suited to a growing organization where the function is still being shaped. Bilingualism in French and English would be a strong asset. This is a strong opportunity for a procurement and supply chain leader who wants to build the function, not simply inherit one. The right person will bring enterprise thinking, commercial discipline, and the practical operating instincts required to create structure that the business will actually use.
