Our client is seeking a highly experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join their team in the South East region. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional with a strong background in business development, ideally within Building Management Systems (BMS) or a related industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and promoting our client’s full range of products and services. Key Responsibilities Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the Midlands region Analyse customer databases and market segments to effectively target prospective clients in both the short and long term Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent business growth Prepare, generate, and deliver high-quality proposals and presentations to customers Arrange and attend meetings with existing and potential clients to promote the company’s product and service offering Organise and deliver roadshows, events, and product demonstrations Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders Collaborate closely with internal teams to maximise opportunities across both regional and national accounts Support the preparation and submission of tenders, bids, and national proposals Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitors, and industry developments Accurately report on sales activity, forecasts, and performance metrics Key Experience Required Proven track record in a Business Development Manager or similar role Experience within Building Management Systems (BMS) or a related technical/engineering sector is highly desirable Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert opportunities into revenue Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable sales strategies Experience working with tenders, bids, and large-scale proposals Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven approach Excellent communication and negotiation skills Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer Basic salary up to £60,000 per annum.
