OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager with a strong background in strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiations within large, complex, and regulated environments. The successful candidate will partner closely with People & Culture and enterprise stakeholders to lead sourcing initiatives, drive supplier value, manage risk, and support business objectives through data-driven procurement strategies. This role is ideal for a proactive, analytical, and relationship-focused professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, can navigate ambiguity, and is comfortable influencing senior stakeholders while managing multiple sourcing initiatives across Human Resources-related categories including Administration Services, Benefits, Recruitment, Relocation, and Training. Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3–4 days in office)Contract Length: 6 Months (Extension or FTE Conversion Possible)Hours: 9 AM–5 PM EST Pay: T4: $50 / IC: $58 RESPONSIBILITIES Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, primarily within People & Culture, providing strategic sourcing guidance and procurement expertise. Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and supplier selection processes. Develop and execute sourcing strategies and category management frameworks aligned with enterprise objectives. Conduct market research, supplier assessments, and business analysis to support strategic recommendations and sourcing decisions. Negotiate supplier agreements and commercial terms to achieve business, cost management, and risk mitigation objectives. Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Risk, and Third-Party Risk Management teams to incorporate supplier risk considerations into agreements and sourcing activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive innovation, value creation, and operational excellence. Manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and ensuring timely delivery. Use dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools to monitor sourcing pipelines, supplier performance, and continuous improvement opportunities. Prepare clear and concise procurement documentation, business cases, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership teams. Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance procurement processes, sourcing methodologies, and operational efficiency. Maintain compliance with enterprise procurement policies, controls, and regulatory standards. QUALIFICATIONS 3–5+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiations. Experience leading end-to-end sourcing initiatives including competitive sourcing events and supplier negotiations. Strong understanding of sourcing and procurement processes, controls, and category management methodologies. Demonstrated experience working within large enterprise or regulated environments. Ability to conduct strategic analysis, develop sourcing plans, and make data-driven recommendations with minimal oversight. Strong contract negotiation, business analysis, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities across cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools to support reporting, business cases, and procurement insights. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and build trusted business relationships. Preferred Experience within banking or financial services environments. Experience supporting Human Resources-related sourcing categories such as benefits, recruitment, relocation, training, or administrative services. Familiarity with supplier risk management and regulatory compliance considerations. Post-secondary degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related discipline.
