Location: TorontoThe Opportunity EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Technology Risk team. The role involves managing engagement teams, assisting clients in deploying information systems, resources, and controls to maximize efficiencies and minimize risk, analyzing and enhancing information systems that support internal control processes, and collaborating with IT professionals on control and security engagements.Your Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Audit IT Integration – Execute IT‑related audit procedures in support of financial statement audits and report on internal controls over financial reporting (integrated and non‑integrated audits).Internal Controls Attestations – Provide an opinion on management’s assertions over business processes and controls, including IT General Controls.Service organization reporting – Issue third‑party reports such as 3416, SOC 1 & SOC 2 reports.Provide high‑quality day‑to‑day management of internal/external audit engagements/projects and identify opportunities to improve service offerings.Lead and support on‑site coordination for audit clients: planning, briefing team on client IT environment and industry trends, coaching and mentoring staff, communicating with clients, and completing audit engagements.Maintain relationships with client management to manage expectations of service, work products, timing, and value delivered.Support preparation of IT external audit reports on adequacy and effectiveness of control structure, with practical recommendations for improvement.Discuss and resolve IT audit issues and recommendations with client management.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex information systems and apply it to client situations.Skills And Attributes for SuccessHighly professional with the ability to work in challenging, diverse, & evolving client environments.Flexible, quick learner, able to apply skills in new situations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to build strong client relationships.Strong team‑working skills.Strong presentation and facilitation skills.A passion for contributing to practice growth.Experience interacting with clients at all levels, including Staff, Leadership, and Partners.Ability to coach and mentor junior staff on engagements.Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in IT audits and/or risk assessments and/or technology evaluations.Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a relevant field.Relevant accounting/audit designation(s) or working toward one (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA, CISSP, CISM) required.Knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, NIST, or other IT frameworks is an asset.Experience with data and analytics tools such as ACL; ability to provide IT support to non‑IT auditors.Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, OneNote, and PowerPoint.Ability to obtain Government of Canada Secret clearance.Willingness to travel.Ideally, you’ll also haveHands‑on experience with project management or IT operations based in large ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, JDE; information security expertise is an asset.What we offerCompetitive compensation package with performance‑based rewards.Defined contribution pension plan.Medical, prescription drug, and dental coverage.Vacation policy and paid personal days.Learning opportunities and career development.Support and coaching from experienced colleagues.Salary Toronto: $72,000 to $108,000To help create the best experience during the recruitment process, please describe any accommodations you may need.#J-18808-Ljbffr
