You’ll work alongside a high‑performing team in one of the most dynamic coastal environments in British Columbia.This is an incredible opportunity to build hands‑on experience indrilling, piling, and marine infrastructure —while advancing your career with one of BC’s most respected marine contractors.Why This Role Matters As a Project Engineer (Drilling Specialist), you’ll play a critical role in supporting drilling operations, coordinating engineering requirements, and ensuring safe, precise, and successful execution of piling and foundation works on the AltaGas Prince Rupert project.Your work directly supports the performance of our crews and the success of the project.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret construction drawings, drilling requirements, and engineering specificationsSupport drilling operations, sequencing, and drilling best practices for marine and heavy civil worksPrepare detailed cost estimates, material takeoffs, and construction schedulesAssist field teams with technical guidance, troubleshooting, and engineering supportTrack project progress, cost codes, quantities, and financial performancePrepare progress reporting, forecasting, and documentation updatesCoordinate subcontractors and ensure deliverables are submitted on timeMaintain accurate project logs, records, and document control processesMonitor drilling performance, tooling needs, and production efficienciesSupport adherence to safety policies, quality standards, and environmental requirementsQualifications & Requirements5+ yearssupporting heavy civil, drilling, piling, or marine construction projectsEngineering degree (Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical) or Civil Technology DiplomaStrong understanding of drilling operations, marine construction, and foundation systemsProficiency in estimating, cost tracking, planning, and schedulingAbility to work collaboratively in a field-based, multidisciplinary teamStrong initiative, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detailSkills, Abilities & AttributesDrilling, piling, and heavy civil construction knowledgeExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to interpret drawings, specs, and drilling requirementsComfortable working in remote environments and changing conditionsStrong time management and organizationCommitment to safety and high work standardsWhat's in it for you?Competitive Compensation – Competitive base salary; $85,000 – $140,000 per year (Based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policies.)Grow Your Career – Professional development, mentorship, and ongoing learning opportunitiesLong‑Term Opportunity – Build your future with a proud, BC‑based, family‑owned company that invests in its people#J-18808-Ljbffr
